Send an SMS with Twilio using parsed data from Parseur

Let's say your business is online and you have an e-commerce platform where your customers can purchase items. Once their order is confirmed and payment is done, both of you receive a copy of the sales order or invoice.

If you have a Twilio subscription for your business, you can manually go through all sales orders and eventually, confirm your clients' orders through a text message.

Integrating Parseur with Twilio

Parseur is a powerful data entry automation tool that will easily extract text from emails as well as PDFs. Extracted data can be downloaded or exported to any application of your choice, in this case to Twilio, using Zapier.

What you will need?

• A Zapier account
• Your Twilio account

How to get started?

Step 1: Sign up for your free plan and create your Parseur mailbox

If you receive a limited number of orders by email per month, you can enjoy all the features for free!

You will be redirected to the Parseur app where you can create your mailbox.

Select the option Custom emails and attachments

Step 2: Forward your sales order to your Parseur mailbox

Send the first email with the sales order confirmation that you received to the email address that Parseur provided you with.

The email will arrive within less than 10 seconds!

Step 3: Use our AI tool to send extracted data to Twilio

You can also teach our AI parser which specific data you require and it will be extracted. There will also be an online tutorial within your mailbox to help you.

Highlight the text that you want to extract and create data fields for them accordingly.

Your parsed results will look like this:

All incoming emails that Parseur will receive within this mailbox will be processed automatically. You should also setup an auto-forwarding rule from your personal mailbox to Parseur in order to fully automate the process.

Step 4: Export parsed data to Twilio

Look for Twilio and click on create Zap; this will open your Zapier dashboard.

Step 5: Connect Zapier with Parseur

Step 6: Zapier will retrieve the parsed data

Zapier will launch a trigger and retrieve the parsed data.

Step 7: Connect Zapier with Twilio

Choose Twilio as the application and 'send SMS' as the action event.

You will be also asked to sign in to your Twilio account.

Step 8: Customize your SMS from parsed data

You can now use the parsed data from Parseur to customize your message.

Step 9: Test your Twilio integration

You can send a test SMS to Twilio before turning the Zap on. Once you are satisfied, turn the Zap on and your integration will be complete.
