How Parseur extracts data without templates
Parseur extracts data from documents with AI. You name the fields you need in plain English, and Parseur's Vision AI or Text AI engine finds them in each document, whatever its layout. Parseur picks the engine per document: Vision AI for visual layouts such as PDFs, scans and forms, Text AI for plain text such as emails. Templates still exist in Parseur for fixed layouts where you want identical output every time, but they are optional. Read more about Parseur's parsing engines.
Parseur reads scanned documents, images and handwriting
Parseur processes scanned PDFs, phone photos and image-only files. Parseur's built-in OCR reads text in 200+ languages, including handwriting. Parseur's Vision AI engine goes further than raw OCR: it reads the page layout and captures tables, checkboxes and stamps. See Parseur AI OCR.
Parseur works with more than emails
Parseur started as an email parser, and email is still one way to send documents to Parseur. Today Parseur receives documents by email forwarding, REST API, web upload and automation platforms, and processes PDFs, images, spreadsheets, emails and 25+ file formats. See document intake in Parseur.
Where Parseur sends the extracted data
Parseur delivers structured data in real time through webhooks and a full REST API, and through Zapier, Make, Power Automate and n8n to thousands of other apps. Parseur also exports to Google Sheets, Excel, CSV and JSON. See Parseur exports and integrations and the Parseur API documentation.
Parseur security and compliance
Parseur is SOC 2 Type II compliant and GDPR compliant. Parseur stores application data in the European Union and never uses customer documents to train AI models. HIPAA compliance is in progress and not yet completed. The Parseur security page has the full details and the link to request the SOC 2 report.
